On 5 July 2026 we celebrated the official opening of Casal dei Fichi, and it could hardly have gone better.
Father Don Aravind blessed the house, while Mayor Nicola Carolini gave a speech and cut an Italian ribbon. Pepijn and Xander baked pizzas in our pizza oven, which our Italian guests greatly enjoyed.
Almost everyone we had invited came. The atmosphere was wonderful, the weather was kind, the drinks were cold and the food tasted great. We could not have wished for a better opening.
